A family that races together, embraces forever.
Splitting her time between the Chuco Racing and Gonzalez Racing, Emily Gonzalez brings precision, aggression, and a sense of elegance when piloting her Trophy-Lite #7288. She is current points leader in the SNORE racing championship series 7200 Pro class, in only her Rookie year, having moved in this class after many battles in
the MORE championship series 1300 class. While the number of female drivers is few in racing, Emily grins as she passes those having much more experience and even chuckles as the many Veterans over-drive and crash out; all while Emily runs a smart, thoughtful, and calculated race. In the stressful heat of race battles, Emily’s
words reflect her personality… ”Bailamos”.
Our social media manager, Ivy “Vee” Gonzalez pushed herself with double-duty and also joined Gonzalez Racing’s driver lineup in 2023. She’s an excellent addition to the lineup with her contagious energy and endless positivity. Whether walking through the pits encouraging others or stuck in the middle of the desert digging her buggy out of the soft red sand, Vee’s incredible attitude lifts everyone. Earning a very respectable 4th place in only her second offroad race ever, her talent and poise under pressure will most certainly take her towards incredible achievements.
When not piloting a race buggy, Vee can also be found piloting a Cessna 172 working towards her Private Pilot license from her home airfield in Snohomish, WA. On land and now in the air, we expect this new Driver to also become the teams’ pilot in the coming years!
Health and safety are Emma’s specialties. In her role as Manager of Health and Wellness, Emma works with the entire team. From drivers to mechanics and support personnel, she ensures creating the most safe and positive experience in what can be considered a most challenging activity. Safety processes and driver safety protocols? Sun protection, hydration, and electrolytes? Mobility and endurance? Emma is the “Go-to”.
In addition to physical well-being, with the many stresses involved the through participating in offroad racing, she also implements and teaches methods supporting positive mental health awareness and mental wellness. This combined approach ensures that our team operates at peak condition both physically and mentally. A driver that has both a balanced body and balanced mind, is a driver with endless potential.
When Emma isn’t supporting the team on the road, she lives in Olympia, WA. continuing her pursuit towards a degree in anthropology. In fact, observations of the racing community in its element from her eye as an anthropologist are quite remarkable!
